Moissanite has many advantages to diamonds. It's beauty and value are unrivaled.
Moissanite is a precious gemstone born from the stars. Discovered in 1893 by a scientist named Henri Moissan, who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He discovered microscopic particles of the gem in Arizona from a crater created by a meteorite that fell to Earth. Moissanite literally came from the deep reaches of space to your finger and ears here on earth. What an amazing occurrence indeed!
Some key differences exist between Moissanite and Diamonds. Some of the distinctions include:
1. Mining free Gem! Lab created with minimal environmental impact so you can wear it guilt free!
2. Moissanite is one of the hardest substances on earth. On the Mohs scale it scores a 9.25, making moissanite very suitable for everyday wear as an engagement ring.
3. It is less expensive per Carat than other gemstones but has an incredible brilliance and beauty.
4. Moissanite actually has a higher brilliance than a diamond does. The fiery, rainbow flashes emitted by moissanites are amazing! Moissanite has a refractive index which is higher than a diamond!
